Project 1 Part 1 of 15, German Silver and Brass Pendants

South Texas Jewelry, Half Dead Oak Jewelry, Arts and Crafts.

Making Jewelry, A step by step video of a jewelry project, a pendant made of German Silver (Nickel Silver), One of a kind and reasonable price.

What is the South Texas Style

First off it’s elegantly rustic, unique, independent, and with original style, handmade, custom designed and manufacturers in south Texas, by true south Texans (that means born and raised here). It’s all things cowboy, farmer, vacareo and warrior.

The style featuring such design elements as stars, longhorns, horns, bone, horses, cattle, cowhides, brands, rope, spurs, cowboy hats, bandanas, Conchos, barbwire, adobe brick, stucco, and many others. Unique variations like the Texas Ranger Star, twisted longhorn’s, arched crown, Initials or Brands, and lariats really stand out. Items are made more unique and personalized by the use of natural local materials, old and distressed wood and metals. You could say it’s a Cross-pollination of Texas, Western, Country and Mexican. It reflects the “South Texas/Western Heritage of the rancher, horseman, rodeo man, farmer and lovers of the remote and rugged South Texas outdoors, the country way of life, living in your denims, (and loving every minute of it) and a fondness for livestock and working in the soil.

The items are pretty much functional. However they are created, carved, cutout, stamped, or painted, they are for rugged folks and places that our culture has not yet mellowed out.

Almost anything can take on the South Texas Style, furniture, apparel, jewelry, even your homes.

This art style depicts the stories and truths of south Texas.

Additionally the style should have no mass production runs, and should be individually hand crafted. The work evolves as it is created, it reflects the artist and consumer that purchases the piece by integrating the customer’s passion with the artist’s own.
